8th October is the starting date for the new track Greyhound Racing Club are pleased to annouce that the new track will reopen on the 8th October 2008.

Featuring two new distances all is in readiness for an exciting new era for the club.

Club President Phillip Mitchem said that 390m and 650m will complement the 450m distance catering for all types of greyhounds at Warrnambool. The new track is wider and now has parallel straights making racing safer for the greyhounds. We have also lifted the track higher and brought the home straight closer to the public for the best veiwing of greyhound racing anywhere in Regional Australia.

Restaurant bookings are being taken for the first meeting and are filling fast so patrons are encouraged to book early to avoid dissappointment.
