The hoop arm lure system is now set to be deployed at Warrnambool Greyhound Racing Club.
A trial of the latest hoop arm lure at The Meadows demonstrated the improved safety of this method, with the introduction of this system part of Greyhound Racing Victoria’s (GRV) continued effort to ensure animal welfare as a key priority.
Warrnambool is one of the first three clubs to introduce the new lure system on a permanent basis.
Warrnambool’s trials will therefore be modified as per below.
Tuesday trial sessions will all be all hoop arm into the catching pen starting from 6pm.
Saturday trial sessions will be 8am-9:30am hoop arm followed by the usual arm/pen on previous trial lure post this.
